As a black American male with 20+ years of US and. International Ag./Food Mgmt. experience its disheartening to see the sector remains literally lilly white. Im not sure if its the inate drive of the white culture to look at the world through lens of money first and how people of color perceive the world with less focus on monetary value. But, it continues across the globe where indeginous brown and black people are at the bottom of the food supply chain doing the menial low paid work, while the whites receive high Mgmt. pay for food products out side their cultural heritage, e.g. Moranga.
Yes, more diversity is needed and that is at the executive level.
