But there are also some misleading or confusing statements. It is great that Gotham Greens is powered by 100 percent renewable energy (or may be at some point in the future) but that is kind of besides the point. It still uses lot’s more energy that outdoor farming and that energy needs to be produced and dedicated for this purpose. Almost any activity could be powered by 100% renewable energy. Also, I assume that some of the nutrient value of greens is in their mineral content. If they are grown in a completely close-loop system then where are those minerals coming from? Are they extracting them from soil elsewhere?
